As the son of a retired physician, I'm profoundly inspired by my mother's enduring commitment to helping those less fortunate. Â
As the son of a retired physician, I'm profoundly inspired by my mother's enduring commitment to helping those less fortunate. Her selflessness and dedication to the medical field led her to establish a self-funded community medical clinic and education center in Barrio Cristo Rey, Dominican Republic, over 20 years ago.
I have witnessed firsthand—and contributed to—the positive change we can make in people's lives. I saw the smiles on the faces of children receiving an education they may not have otherwise had.
I shared in the relief of parents finally able to access medical care for their families. Aumani was built to continue this circle of abundance and hope.
